How fortunate were we when my daughter and I found Louie.
He was all alone in a glass cage in a Chadstone Pet Store in 2008.
When we picked him up and held him we fell in love with him straight away.
Louie was 12 weeks old and we figured pretty much straight away he must of had a rough start to life.
2 minutes into our drive home Louie started throwing up and shaking.
I didn’t know much about puppy farms back then but realised after a year or so he would have come from a puppy farm.
Every time I reached for my keys Louie would start shaking, throwing up and hide behind a piece of furniture.
It was awful.
I decided to get Louie a companion. I did my homework this time.
I travelled around looking for a reputable breeder.
We found one in Riddell’s Creek Sunbury.
The breeder hand reared all her pups and asked us to bring Louie with us when we visited.
There we found Cavalier Max. Louie picked Max and fell in love with him straightaway.
This was our instant family.
Not long after arriving home with Max, Louie showed his adorable playful cheeky side.
Max helped us to help him overcome his fears of the car keys and car.
Louie grew into a beautiful loving family member who showed tremendous strength, unconditional love, kindness and support for everyone in our family.
Fast forward 5 years Louie wasn’t scared of anything. He wanted to make friends with every dog he met.
We have so many wonderful memories stored away in our hearts.
We love you Louie xoxoxo
